Describing themselves tersely as, "A guy and some chick", brand new production duo Vlad vs Clover have no intention of giving up any more info than the bare bones. But what doesn't need explaining, and is perfectly clear from their sole song to-date, 'Lies', is: this guy and this chick could pen a dark-pop mega-hit in their sleep. The mellower instrumental sections of 'Lies' are pure Vaults, and when those female vocals are forefronted, there's a hint of Lykke Li in the restrained emotion, but as those hard-hitting electronic drops hit just before the chorus, the whole tone flips and becomes a lustier affair with Warpaint-style banshee 'oohs' spattered over crunching beats and skewed synths.
